The intervals for deciding tariff/functional salaries for employees in units with financial autonomy have been updated
The Government today set new values for the intervals for tariff/functional salaries calculated by applying the complexity coefficient by types of work and branches of the national economy.
According to the adjustments made, the minimum threshold of the intervals for setting tariff salaries was increased by 10% for senior and middle management positions, 15% for specialist staff and 25% for technical service staff, as a result of the 25% increase in the minimum wage in the country (which, starting January 1, 2024 will be 5000 lei), the 10% increase in the basic reference value, provided for in the State Budget Law for 2024 and the 16.1% increase in the average gross salary in the third quarter of 2023 compared to the same period of the previous year.
At the same time, for all listed categories, the maximum threshold of the ranges was set with a 10% increase, which correlates with the increase in the basic reference value provided in the draft State Budget Law for 2024 and the increase in the average monthly nominal wage for 2024 compared to 2023.
The range for setting tariff/functional salaries calculated by applying the complexity coefficient by type of work and branch structure of the national economy with the value of 1.00 is mandatory for state, municipal, joint-stock companies with full or majority state capital, monopoly entities, self-managed public authorities and institutions. For other units it is of a guiding nature in the negotiation process of the parties. The new measures will enter into force from 1 January 2024.
