According to a Government decision approved today, the average monthly salary forecast for 2024, will be 13 700 lei. The average monthly wage is adjusted annually in accordance with the main macroeconomic indicators forecast for 2024.

The size of the forecast average monthly wage per economy is used to determine:

– the ceiling of the calculation basis for social security benefits;

– the insured monthly income of resident employees of information technology parks;

– the amount of the damage caused in the event of an offence, in accordance with the provisions of Article 126, para. (1) and (11) of the Criminal Code;

– the amount of the damage that led to tax evasion by enterprises, institutions and organisations – Art. 244, para. (1) and (2) (b) of the Criminal Code; – the amount of damage caused to the rights and interests protected by law of natural or legal persons in case of unjustified refusal to issue the permit that led to the restriction of the right to carry out entrepreneurial activity, including unjustified carrying out of controls, as provided for in Article 328, para. (11) of the Criminal Code, etc.
