The executive approved at today’s meeting the draft law on the state social insurance budget for 2023, which sets out the revenues and expenditures included in the social insurance budget for the following year.

According to the draft, the state social insurance budget for 2023 estimates total revenues of about 38.7 billion lei, an increase of about 7.5 billion lei or 24.1% compared to the confirmed revenues for 2022.

As for the total expenditure of the state social insurance budget for next year, it has been estimated at 38.7 billion lei, an increase of 7.5 billion lei or 24.1 percent compared to the approved expenditure for 2022.

The forecast of revenues and expenditures of the state social insurance budget for 2023 was made based on the analysis of the dynamics of the contingent of benefit recipients, trends and performance recorded in previous years and on the forecast of macroeconomic indices, developed by the Ministry of Economy.
