Vectors of sustainable development and decent work in the Republic of Moldova, reflected in a new Country Programme on Decent Work for 2021-2024
Today, October 7, the Memorandum of Understanding for the implementation of the new Country Programme on Decent Work (PȚMD) for 2021-2024 was signed by the Government of the Republic of Moldova, represented by the Minister of Labour and Social Protection, Marcel Spatari, the National Confederation of Employers’ Associations from the Republic of Moldova (CNPM), the National Confederation of Trade Unions from Moldova and the International Labour Organisation (ILO).
During the ceremony, the signatory parties underlined their determination to advance the economic and social development of the Republic of Moldova, by increasing the level of employment, reducing the discrepancies of qualifications, creating better working conditions and extended social protection.
In the next four years, ILO’s support for the Republic of Moldova will be focused on creating jobs and employment for young people, safe working conditions, respect for the right to work and a better social dialogue. From better labour market governance and effective institutions, to better compliance with international labour standards, ILO’s support will be centered on people and their needs.
